About the role
The Aviation Safety Inspector (Air Carrier Avionics – APPM) supports the Principal Performance Manager (PPM) for Avionics under Part 121 regulations. The role focuses on a segment of the airworthiness program, ensuring that avionics systems on air carriers meet safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of avionics equipment on air carrier aircraft.
- Perform surveillance activities to verify compliance with Part 121 airworthiness requirements.
- Issue certifications and approvals for air carriers, operators, agencies, airmen and designees.
- Document findings and maintain records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Required profile
- Knowledge of FAA Part 121 (or equivalent) airworthiness regulations.
- Experience with avionics systems in an airline or aviation maintenance environment.
- Ability to work independently as an assistant to the PPM.
Required skills
- Avionics inspection techniques.
- Surveillance and certification procedures.
- Understanding of air carrier operational standards.
