Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support (Freelance)

About the role

We are hiring a Nutanix Engineer/Networking IT Support Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure environments across Pago Pago, American Samoa. The role requires flexibility for on‑call support and the ability to work across regional time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Provide on‑call incident response support.
• Work with global teams on cloud and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain system documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years in infrastructure or virtualization engineering.
• Minimum 90% pass score on induction assessment.
• Strong communication skills in local language and English.
• Ability to handle critical incidents.
• Team‑oriented and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Nutanix stack (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
• Backup and disaster‑recovery tools.
• Scripting with PowerShell and Python.
• Automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Nutanix Certification (NCP or higher).
