About the role
The Aviation Safety Inspector (Air Carrier Avionics – APPM) supports the Part 121 avionics program, acting as a full assistant to the Part 121 Avionics Program Manager (PPM). The role involves performing inspections, surveillance, and certification duties for air carriers, operators, agencies, airmen and designees, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of avionics systems on Part 121 air carriers.
- Perform surveillance activities to verify ongoing compliance with airworthiness standards.
- Issue certifications and approvals for avionics installations and modifications.
- Collaborate with air operators, agencies, and designated personnel to resolve safety and compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of FAA Part 121 regulations related to avionics.
- Experience in airworthiness inspection or related aviation safety functions.
- Ability to analyze technical data and documentation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
