About the role

The Supervisory Aviation Safety Inspector serves as a front‑line manager within a Flight Standards office, reporting to a middle manager. The role is central to executing the agency’s aviation safety mission, leading a team of inspectors and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations of the Flight Standards team to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations.
• Communicate safety policies and changes effectively across the organization.
• Build and sustain change coalitions, encouraging team involvement in organizational initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices for managing resistance to change.
• Coordinate with other agency units to align safety objectives and support mission‑critical activities.
