About the role
The Supervisory Aviation Safety Inspector serves as a front‑line manager within a Flight Standards office, reporting to a middle manager. The role is central to executing the agency’s aviation safety mission, leading a team of inspectors and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily operations of the Flight Standards team to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations.
- Communicate safety policies and changes effectively across the organization.
- Build and sustain change coalitions, encouraging team involvement in organizational initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices for managing resistance to change.
- Coordinate with other agency units to align safety objectives and support mission‑critical activities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in aviation safety or related regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and team‑building abilities.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex safety information.
- Ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement.
