About the role
The Aviation Safety Inspector (Cabin Safety) acts as a primary resource and technical authority on cabin safety requirements within an assigned field office. The role focuses on ensuring that work activities affecting civil aviation meet all applicable safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for cabin safety regulations, interpreting how they apply to daily operations of air carriers and operators.
- Provide detailed technical support and guidance to assigned air carriers and air operators on cabin safety matters.
- Verify that assigned operators adhere to the Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA policy, guidance documents, and approved safety programs.
Required profile
- Background in aviation safety or a related regulatory field.
- Ability to act as a technical authority and resource for cabin safety issues.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations related to cabin safety.
- Familiarity with FAA policy, guidance, and approved safety programs.
