About the role
The Aviation Safety Inspector (ASAP) acts as the primary liaison between the Certificate Management Office and an assigned air carrier. The position is focused on preventing accidents and incidents by encouraging airline employees to voluntarily report safety issues and events, thereby supporting a proactive safety culture.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact between the Certificate Management Office and the air carrier for all safety‑related matters.
- Promote and facilitate voluntary reporting of safety issues and events by airline personnel.
- Manage the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) to ensure safety concerns are identified, documented, and tracked.
- Coordinate the transmission of reported safety information to airline management and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for timely resolution.
