About the role
The Supervisory Aviation Safety Inspector serves as a front‑line manager within a Flight Standards office, reporting to a middle manager. This position executes the agency’s aviation safety mission while actively communicating and building change coalitions across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of safety inspectors to ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
- Develop and implement change initiatives to improve safety processes.
- Communicate safety policies and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend improvements.
- Manage resistance to change by applying best practices in change management.
Required profile
- Proven experience in supervisory or managerial roles within aviation safety or related fields.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build collaborative teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and manage resistance.
- Commitment to upholding the agency’s safety mission and standards.
