Infield Mentor – Missionary Training (American Samoa)

About the role

The Infield Mentor supports missionaries in American Samoa by delivering gospel‑centered instruction, language practice, and skill development. Working under the Training department, you will coach missionaries at various stages—from pre‑MTC preparation to post‑MTC service—using an approved curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one coaching, small‑group facilitation, and large‑group workshops.
• Prepare and present lessons in coordination with a companion teacher.
• Monitor Canvas participation and guide discussion boards.
• Provide feedback to missionaries and report progress to supervisors.
• Assist area leadership in coordinating with mission and Missionary Department leadership.
• Participate in weekly training meetings and co‑teacher sessions.
• Support language proficiency assessments and role‑play scenarios as needed.

Required profile

• Returned missionary who has served within the past three years.
• Fluency in the designated second language for language‑teaching positions.
• Strong coaching, facilitation, and training abilities.
• Deep knowledge of the Preach My Gospel curriculum.
• Excellent interpersonal, prioritization, and leadership skills.
• Self‑motivated, receptive to feedback, and able to work collaboratively.
