Mental Health Therapist – 1099 Contractor – American Samoa

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates is seeking an independently licensed mental health therapist to join its provider network on a 1099 contractor basis. The role focuses on delivering culturally responsive, evidence‑based therapy to children, adults, couples, and families in the American Samoa region, with a strong preference for in‑person care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy using evidence‑based modalities.
• Maintain a caseload that spans mild to complex mental health presentations.
• Conduct risk assessments and respond to clinical crises as needed.
• Document treatment progress and employ measurement‑based care practices.
• Manage invoicing and receive prompt payments through Lyra’s platform.

Required profile

• Master’s or doctoral degree in a clinical field (MSW, MFT, MC, MMHC, PhD, PsyD).
• Unrestricted LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent license with no disciplinary actions.
• Full‑time U.S. resident with the ability to work independently.
• Office space in the Guam/American Samoa area to see clients in person.
• Experience managing risk and clinical crises.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ACT, CBT, CPT, and DBT.
• Implementation of measurement‑based care and skills‑practice promotion.
